A vintage Japanese obiage crafted from pure silk in a vivid red colour. Traditional shibori resist-dyeing creates bold white chrysanthemum-like floral motifs across the textured central sections, while the smoother silk areas feature a subtle woven floral pattern.
Originally worn beneath an obi to add colour and support to a kimono ensemble. It may also be enjoyed as a decorative textile, fashion accent or material for creative projects.
