A vintage Japanese obiage crafted from pure silk in a vivid lime green colour. Traditional shibori resist-dyeing creates pale diamond panels and flowing curved motifs across the richly textured sections. The smoother silk areas feature a subtle woven geometric pattern.
Originally worn beneath an obi to add colour and support to a kimono ensemble. It may also be enjoyed as a decorative textile, fashion accent or material for creative projects.

This is a pre-owned vintage textile. A small brown spot is visible on one pale shibori panel, as shown in the close-up photograph.
