An unused Japanese obijime cord, carefully hand-braided from silk in the traditional Korai-gumi style.
The vivid crimson red surface is accented with metallic gold edging and elegant leaf-inspired decorative motifs. The reverse side features a broad metallic gold field framed by crimson edges, allowing the color balance to change depending on how the cord is tied and displayed.
Designed as a kimono obi cord, it is suitable for formal and festive kimono styling. Its refined silk braiding can also be repurposed for belts, accessories, decorative straps, or handles and accents for handmade bags.
Please note: When using this cord in bag making, choose suitable hardware and reinforcement according to the intended load. This item is not a finished load-bearing bag strap.
