An unused Japanese obijime cord, carefully hand-braided from silk in the traditional Korai-gumi style.

The design combines vivid coral pink and red with a soft white-to-pale-pink gradient and decorative woven motifs. The reverse presents a simpler coral pink surface, allowing the appearance to vary depending on how the cord is tied or displayed.

Created as a traditional cord for securing and decorating a kimono obi, it can also be repurposed for belts, jewelry, textile art, or decorative accents for handmade bags.

Please note: If used for bag handles or straps, suitable hardware and reinforcement should be added according to the intended load. This is not a finished weight-bearing bag strap.
